據外媒報導，這起事故發生在美國當地時間4日下午5時15分，壹架隸屬於美國聯合包裹服務公司（UPS）的貨機，從路易斯維爾穆罕默德阿裡國際機場起飛，准備前往夏威夷的檀香山國際機場，未料，班機才起飛沒多久，就直接墜毀。
對此，美國國家運輸安全委員會（National Transportation Safety Board，NTSB）已派員趕往現場，與UPS及當地消防單位，進行事故調查。陸續有民眾在社群發布這則訊息，官方尚未公布具體傷亡情形。

美國UPS貨機在肯塔基州墜毀！傷亡人數不明

壹架屬於美國聯合包裹服務公司（UPS）的貨機，美國時間4日下午5時15分自路易斯維爾國際機場（Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport）起飛不久後就墜毀，目前傷亡狀況不明。
根據《衛報》報導，UPS公司稱貨機上有叁名機組人員，貨機原本是要前往檀香山。路易斯維爾警方表示，多個緊急應變單位已趕赴現場救援，目前現場仍有火勢與殘骸，呼吁民眾遠離該地。機場已經暫時關閉部分跑道，當局第壹時間針對機場周遭約8公裡范圍內發布“就地避難”（shelter-in-place）命令，之後又將就地避難令擴大到機場以北至俄亥俄河的所有區域。
