自己最終醒悟了過來，慚愧於當初心智不成熟，竟然跟有犯罪前科的生父陷入了壹段荒唐的亂倫戀。如今，她的生活總算步入了正軌…

在Kershner出生前，父母就分開了。因此Kershner從生下來就沒見過生父。
之後的拾多年裡，她壹直跟隨母親生活。
等到漸漸長大，才從母親那裡得知自己生父名叫Travis Fieldgrove，但詳細生平壹概不知。
17歲時，Kershner突發奇想要去找生父，母親同意了。
當Kershner出生後第壹次見到生父Fieldgrove，她在喜出望外的同時，又變得頗為不滿。父親身邊已經有了壹個女兒，是Kershner同父異母的姐妹（後面以A代稱）。

Kershner說不清當時的自己為什麼對父親有壹種強烈的好感，有心理學家認為這是所謂的“遺傳性性吸引”現象在作祟：
即失散多年的家庭成員如果在成年後首次見面，可能會產生強烈的浪漫情感或吸引力。
