美國媒體報導，現年79歲的川普（Donald Trump）4月25日在華府出席白宮記者協會年度晚宴時遭遇最近壹起暗殺未遂事件，事後當局正考慮讓總統穿上防彈衣。
法新社報導，川普在被問及是否討論過穿防彈背心時，他告訴記者「我不知道自己能不能接受看起來重20磅的模樣」。
川普2年內已歷經3次疑似暗殺未遂事件，最嚴重壹次發生在2024年賓州巴特勒（Butler）選舉造勢活動上，當時川普耳朵遭到槍手子彈擦傷，1名觀眾不幸身亡。
