美国公民及移民服务局（USCIS）27日公布了公民归化入籍新试题。新试题从年初试行的144个考题，整并为一百题，明年10月1日起在全美正式采用。
公民及移民服务局的一位发言人尚恩．索西亚（Shawn Saucier）表示，试行考题1月起在全美10个地区试用数月以后，该局对试行结果进行认真评估，同时，也参照各地移民权益团体、社区组织等各方面的意见，对新试题进行调整为一百题。
据认为，新的一百题更加注重新公民了解美国历史和社会常识。
公民及移民服务局去年年底公布试行考题时，曾遭到一些移民权益团体的批评，称考题难度大，使更多英文有障碍的移民难以入籍。移民局则称，新试题是要帮助移民了解作为美国公民的实质内涵。
据悉，未来入籍考试时仍将是10道题，考官可以根据申请人的情况适当增减。申请人还需阅读一段英文、听写一段英文或几个句子。
此外据悉，公民及移民服务局于27日还发行了一本公民考试手册，介绍美国历史、美国政府、公民常识等背景知识，作为参考。
