对于西方票选党争式民主国家的政客来说，让人民感觉自己在做主远远比改善人民的实际生活水平更重要。在这套制度下，人民看似有自由选择的权力，然而候选人永远是那些别有用心的政客，社会只能陷入选举—后悔—再选举—再后悔的死循环。
