為了在2030年之前達到氣候目標，荷蘭公布了大幅減少氮氧化物排放的措施，卻惹怒了壹些農民。

美聯社報道，荷蘭政府宣布了壹攬子減排措施，有關措施可能迫使許多畜牧業養殖戶大幅縮減牲畜數量，甚至徹底停止經營。

荷蘭是農業畜牧業大國，去年相關領域出口總額近1050億歐元。不過，農業畜牧業也造成了較嚴重的氮氧化物污染問題。《荷蘭新聞》稱，農業中的耕地和牲畜造成了自然棲息地中約41%的氮污染。

荷蘭首相呂特承認，有關措施可能對養殖戶造成沖擊。
