紐約時報報導，美國伊利諾伊州於當地時間27日驚傳持械刺人案，造成4人身亡、5人受傷，凶嫌已遭當局逮捕，目前尚未厘清犯案動機。
伊利諾伊州北部羅克福德（Rockford）27日下午，壹名男子持刀闖入民宅行凶，造成4人身亡，其中3名死者當場死亡，另1人送醫後宣告不治；另外5名傷者中1人重傷，其他4人狀況穩定。
當局證實已逮捕嫌犯，但並未透露姓名，而且推斷僅壹人犯案，當地警察局長雷德（Carla Redd）在記者會上透露，“我們認為目前沒有其他嫌疑人在逃”，另外現場沒有發生槍擊。
