在周六（1日）舉行的美國全國啦啦隊協會全明星錦標賽上，由於2名家長斗毆，現場發生恐慌，大批民眾逃跑時導致人踩人事件，10人受傷送院。
事發於下午1時左右，達拉斯（Dallas）市中心的Kay Bailey Hutchison會議中心發生人踩人事件。2人發生斗毆後，現場有多根支柱倒塌，大樓內發出巨大響聲，聲響引發民眾恐慌，促使在場人員蜂擁而至地沖出場外。
達拉斯消防救援局稱，10人被送往醫院，傷勢包括擦傷和骨折，均不危及生命。警方表示，現場沒有發生槍擊事件。
為安全起見，警方暫時撤離會場並暫停當天的比賽，活動將於次日、周日恢復，預計吸引超過58,000人參加。
