紐約警方表示，在7月10日在布朗克斯區（Bronx）壹列地鐵上，4名青少年被無人機發現進行“地鐵沖浪”，年齡最小的僅12歲。警方之後截停地鐵，將4人逮捕，並呼吁大眾不要參與這種危險行為，截至7月，2025年已有3人死於“地鐵沖浪”。
自2023年11月紐約警察局開始使用無人機以來，已找到有200人參與這些行為並成功“解救”。
據《國會山報》（The Hill）報道，4名年僅12歲至16歲的少年當時正站在北行的6號線快車車頂。當時列車正快速駛過布朗克斯區的壹座橋下，並途經多個地面車站。

事件發生後，紐約警察局也在社交媒體發文警告，“這不是什麼刺激，而是致命風險”。
官員表示，截至7月，2025年已有3人死於“地鐵沖浪”，2024年則共有6人。
